On the 2nd November Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England, encouraged the public to “Think Science” and nominate eminent scientists from the UK’s glorious history to be recognised on the next £50 note.
Potton Middle school students are to have their say! Posters depicting scientist worthy of this honour will put up around the school. Each class in the Middle school will be asked to vote for a scientist and the Bank of England will be informed of our nomination.
It will be interesting to see if our school vote matches the official selection and which scientific achievements the students feel are most important.
If you want to get involved and nominate a scientist, go to the Bank of England website before 14th December 2018.
