Year 2 School Trip – Gulliver’s Land, Milton Keynes
In conjunction with our topics of Dinosaurs and Animals, we have organised a trip to Gulliver’s Dinosaur and Farm Park in Milton Keynes. The children will be visiting the Park on Tuesday 6th June 2017 leaving at 9.30am and returning for 3.20pm. Gulliver’s is a family farm and park with numerous activities and is an ideal location to celebrate the children’s learning this year. ‘Are you ready to enter the Lost World of The Living Dinosaurs? Look out for roaring, clawing and even walking dinosaurs. Interact with these prehistoric giants, learn about their environment and take part in dino activities.’
The children will be participating in The Lost World Tours, including a session in the bone yard digging for fossils, a chance to create their own slime, and even take part in some cooking in the cookery school! There will be a Caveman Challenge which will involve following a Cretaceous Crawl to find out about prehistoric worlds, and they will also have the opportunity to meet various farm animals. Experiences such as these greatly enhance the learning for children, and provide them with opportunities which are difficult to re-create in a classroom setting. Handwashing facilities are available at the venue.
Live Kitchen (our catering company), can provide the children with a packed lunch on the day if you pre-book this or alternatively, your child can bring their own packed lunch in a disposable, named bag. Your child will also need to bring a named water bottle. The children should come to school dressed in their school uniform, and wear sun cream if necessary on the day.
In order for this trip to take place we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £16 per child. Please note that no child will be excluded from any such activity on the basis of cost. However, we are sure you will appreciate that we will not be able to go ahead with the proposed visit if there is a substantial lack of financial support for individual children.
